Glendale is a small gateway village on Highway 9 with easy access to Zion–Mount Carmel Tunnel and scenic drives to Bryce or Cedar Breaks. Zen Zion (luxury cabins & domes on a 5-acre river property) is a highlight — guests enjoy campfires, creekside walks, and high-end amenities. Zion Stays also offers modern townhome suites for easy park access.Nearby Highlights
A restored railroad station and small museum reflecting local pioneer history (a short walk from Main street).
Nearby (in Mount Carmel) is the Maynard Dixon museum and art center for local culture buffs.
Highway 9 from Glendale climbs past Checkerboard Mesa and dramatic overlooks en route to Zion NP’s east side.
Only 20–25 minutes to Zion’s east entrance and 45+ minutes to Bryce, making Glendale ideal for exploring multiple parks.
Make Glendale your gateway to Zion. Stay in a riverside dome like Zen Zion River Dome, relax among the Zen Zion Domes (cabins), or treat yourself to the upscale Zen Zion Evergreen. Cozy cabin options include Zen Zion, Zen Zion 1 Honeybee, Zen Zion 2 Blue Jay, Zen Zion3 Hummingbird and Sunset Cliffs. Glendale is also in East Zion’s Long Valley, about 20 minutes from Zion’s east entrance. It’s roughly 1 hour to Bryce Canyon NP and about 30 minutes to Coral Pink Sand Dunes. The town sits on State Route 9 (the Zion–Bryce scenic route) and US‑89, so it’s a great jumping-off point for exploring the region’s parks and sights.
Glendale itself is tiny, but it’s picturesque. There’s a historic orchard and rest stop with picnic tables and an informational kiosk about the Grand Staircase–Escalante. For dining, the standout spot is Brink’s Grill & Country Store (walkable from many rentals), which serves homemade burgers, salads, and local craft brews. Otherwise, the nearest restaurants and grocery are in Orderville (just 6 miles south). Many guests use Glendale as a peaceful home base surrounded by stunning red-rock views and starry nights.
Yes – like Orderville, Glendale-area vacation rentals include pet-friendly options. For example, one Zion Stays cabin allows two dogs (with a pet fee and crating rules). We can suggest pet-friendly homes when you book, and we ask guests to follow the house’s pet policy for safety and cleanliness.
Absolutely. Wi-Fi is a standard amenity at all our Glendale rentals. In fact, the Glendale duplex is advertised with “Wireless Internet” and a laptop-friendly workspace. Whether you’re uploading photos of canyon hikes or catching up on news, you’ll have coverage at the cabin.
Check-in is generally mid-afternoon and check-out mid-morning. For instance, at our Glendale duplex check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM. (Our Escalante homes use 3:00 PM/11:00 AM as noted above.) Always check your specific reservation for the exact policy, but plan on arriving by mid-afternoon on your start date.
